Strategic Planning

Strategic Planning establishes your organization's direction and determines the steps necessary to achieve desired results.

The Sheridan Group's strategic planning process is comprised of three stages:

• Mission Analysis - We meet with senior executives and key volunteers to define or update your mission. We analyze your position within the field, identify future trends affecting operations and constituency, and determine your capacity to change as needed.

• Situation Analysis - We appraise the following key areas:

     • Records and Research
     • Systems and Procedures
     • Staffing
     • Governance
     • Volunteer Structures
     • Budget
     • Fund Raising Programs
     • Recognition Programs
     • Communications/Marketing

• Formulation of Action Plan to Meet Objectives - The plan of action is informed by the strategic thinking that has taken place to this point. The plan will include conclusions and recommendations to increase productivity, achievable objectives in each programmatic area, and steps toward meeting objectives and long-range goals.
